Merry Christmas everyone.
Wifey and I went fishing on Lake Griffin Christmas Eve morning and lookie what we caught.
On Arkie Crank baits on top of it. Wifey got hers on Road Runner (see pic above). I longline and I use my slab rigs on the inside poles, but on the outside rods I use Arkie Crank Baits because they float up to the top on turns as opposed to going to the bottom and picking up muck! And they still wobble nice at slow speeds. I like this theory, works well, seems to attract the more aggressive bigger fish on the crank baits. Like the BnM Christmas shirt I got at Whitey's camp last month. And yep, it was caught on BnM rod, of course. A 14 ft PST pulling a Splattershad Arkie 250 crank bait not real far behind the boat (maybe half a cast away) because I'm only fishing 5-6 feet of water.
Almost reaches 14 inches, for lake Griffin, wow. Might be a lake record, at least for the last couple years! lol
I released it so I can catch it again next Christmas. Marked the spot with an x.
They were hitting those crank baits hard. They must have been hungry cause they could not even find where their mouths were sometimes! lol
