Got to the ramp a bit after noon, a very gentle breeze and few fishermen on the water. Decided I was going to try spider rigging and just enjoy the surroundings, and that I did. On the way to a couple of my favorite spots, saw two small turtles easing there heads below the water as I slowly past them. In the air there was a beautiful Osprey checking the water for his afternoon meal. Of course the ever present alligator, who I don't bother nor they me.
Water temp was 74 with a slight NNE breeze, fish were far and few between and not at a constant depth. Using jigs tipped with minnows and jigs tipped with nibbles, the ones I caught wanted the baits barely moving. Ended up catching 10 and bringing home 8.
