• Learning to pull crankbaits on LOZ

Visited with ripnlips (Richard) yesterday. He told me I needed to watch Mr.bakers video's. I did and was totally impressed. We decided to try this (trolling crankbaits) today. We got an early start and hit the water on LOZ. We set up with me trying to control three poles in the back, and Richard had two in the front. It was a blast for about 3 hours. Non targeted species (a lot of bass, some really nice ones, of course they were thrown back). Richard caught his favorite type, drum (it was also thrown back). And we pulled in of course what we were after CRAPPIE (kept those). He had me using red/pink/yellow bandit 300's. We were trying to figure out colors, it was more pick and choose and try what we thought was best. I had the line out at different depths 75-125 feet. It was a blast, my type of fishing. It will not be to difficult to have me try this again, and again. But when the big boats come out and those little bitty ones, and it gets hot, it time to get out of there. A good day fishing with a best friend.
