Same story today. Got a late start as I was shooting some plastic baits and didn't get on the water till 11 am. The sun was out in full force and the breeze was light with some gusts occasionally. I pulled up to my first place I had caught 10 decent gills the other day and what a stop it was. I sat there for an hour and a half and had 45 good gills in the box culling out twice as many as I kept. They were biting hard and fast with almost every dip of my cork in the water shooting off to the side or taking the plunge. I soaked up what the good lord made for us today and enjoyed the tranquility of being on the water.
The fish had moved up from 15 fow to around 12 today. I even tight lines some with my 4 ft pole which enabled me to feel the thump lol.
When the bite slowed down at stop one eased on down and hit another spot where I boated my last few to limit out. Wahoo, we gonna eat some popcorn fillets soon.
Hope all your live wells are full when you get out. Enjoy what the lord has made and keep what you can use, release the rest for seed.
