Went over to Talquin Wednesday morning to see if we could get on some slabs despise a 15mph wind forecast.
Fished in 18-26 feet of water around the channel and just went with the wind (note to self: get a drift sock) as it was pushing us around 1mph. 2nd fish of the day was a big 14.5inch crappie that went around 2lb (no scales) on a new color we were trying but didn't catch another fish on that color.
Ended the day around 1pm with 19 HEALTHY Lake Talquin quality slabs. Good day on the lake and it reminds me how much more shoulders these Talquin fish have on those Gainesville crappie I've been catching.
