A great crappie day.
A beautiful morning, 60* air temp and 70* water temp. No wind, hardly a ripple on the water and fish jumpin' everywhere. Cousin Steve was chompin' at the bit.
Our friend Larry reminded us why we rolled out at 5:30 am and got on the water early to fill our cooler.
My first question was, do they really like Miller Lite?
They said "YES"! So we joined the party.
Steve said he could party like this the rest of his retirement.
Steve said, "I can help", and he did.
Caught 50 and filleted 30. All caught in 14' & 16' feet over humps next to deep water.
Only one sandy and one channel cat got into the mix. Lookin' forward to the next trip.
Caught a few on minnows, but mostly on chartreuse plastics Larry had poured.
