The weather was great the fishing not so much. After a cold front from last night the fish just seemed to tighten up and not bite very well at all. It's amazing what a little rain and one cold night can do the fish. I think for the most part we all enjoyed the day and fellowship with other fisherman! The fish fry had to be canceled due to the low numbers of fish brought in. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and hope to do it again. We had a tie for the big fish and a drawing for goods donated by Slab (crappie dot com owner) as well as from Advance Auto.
Hopefully we will be better prepared for the next one and will get more organized. I am also happy my little idea worked out fairly well considering I have never done anything like this before!
Although we didn't get to cook I want to thank all the members who took the time to volunteer to bring items and help with the event! You guys know who you are and my apologies that we didn't get to fulfill all the plans for the day! Thank you all for coming and thank you Slab and Advance Auto!!
p.s. the majority of photos are from rvcyclist's wife she has a much better eye for photos than myself lol. So I want to put credit where it's due.
