Good day people! I have a story to share with you. I want you all to know, no matter what is going on in your life, you never know when you might need a helping hand. I was fishing BM last fall and things were going pretty good on the lake that morning. I was fishing for bass at that time and I was throwing a jerkbait - having much success I might add. I hooked into a nice fish and fought her for a minute until she got off and the jerkbait wound up flying into my chest. I couldn't see where the bait was exactly located, but I was in some pain. I had two options; 1) Go back to the ramp and head to the emergency room with a bait in my chest, or 2) Find someone on the lake to help me get this freaking thing out. I went for option 2 and I found a couple of guys in a cove. I knew how to get the hooks out (seen it on youtube), I just needed some braid and someone with a steady hand. The guys had some braid, but neither of them knew how to remove the hooks.
After discussing my problem, a guy comes out of his house and asked did we need any help. I told him "Hell Yeah!" LOL. He said he knew how to take the hooks out and he would help me - no problem. Without knowing him, I totally put my faith in him and took his word for it. After 5-10 mins of him prepping the braid around the hooks, they came out like a charm without any discomfort. I told him thanks for doing that and he said to try not hooking myself again LOL. I went on my way and starting back fishing. Without knowing him or vice versa, I needed help and he was there to help me out in a BIG jam. So Blue Steel, thanks for looking out for me that day. I really appreciate it much. You didn't have to come outside your house to help me, but you did. And for that I am forever in your debt.
