Really, 17 degrees!

It was only 17 degrees this particular morning (just last week) but now I know why I waited before starting on my annual migration to Florida. I went fishing and hunting with Mean Grean 2, the Crappie Predator - www.crappiepredator.com


Mean Grean 2 is the Predator, watch out Crappie and you duckies too!


Pacca did not mind at all, he was looking forward to it. Great duck dog for sure.


This is Mean Green, the original Mean Green! Mean Grean 2's Uncle and hunting mentor. Boy he knows how to cook up a storm on the water. We did not go hungry.


And we fished for one hour, and kept 30 Crappie and 4 White Bass. Winghunter wanted fish to bring home for his wifey. We prolly actually caught twice that many. Threw others back. The action was crazy hot! Using "Gewbers" did real good. Was perfect for vertical jigging like we did.

Mighty fine crappie there on Rend Lake. Notice the Gewber on the jig (http://www.crappiewear.com/Gewbers-j...bait_p_62.html). They really worked well verticle jigging, giving you that extra second to set the hook. MG2 didn't seem to need them but I know I did. I was missing way too many without them.


Even WH caught'em with Gewbers.
