As you recall from past posts, the Thursday morning Cararact Slab Masters have all been after the team of R. and G. Hooser and their leader D. Knoy. These three guys have won like six or seven of our tourneys in a row. Well word has gotten out and teams from all over Indiana have come to take this trio on. Randy must have heard of the scheme and never showed up this week. This left Gary and Dave alone to take on the likes of Indiana Slab Masters own Tom Hankins and partner Stan Dorrell. These boys came to play ball. Tom and Stan took first place and Big Crappie, with a seven fish stringer that weighed: just over four lbs and the Big Crappie weighing in at 3/4 lb. Congrats to Tom and Stan.
The greatest moment of the tournament for me was during the weigh-in. While all were gathered around the scales, a cloud of smoke arose from the parking lot, the sky darkened a bit and the ground shook., And who should appear? It was the famous, well rounded, head geezer himself: Billbob. Yes folks I was standing in the presence of greatness. It was like Christmas, Billbob was bearing gifts and treats for all from Crappie.com's own supply store. After the prizes and gifts were passed out, Billbob made me and my partner Tom new Geezer members. This is a honor we will cherish forever. Thanks Billbob and thanks Slab for all your hard work and wisdom for bringing Billbob on board with you. Bigarm
