Good job getting the kids out and catching fish!
Was glad I decided to volunteer for the ft carson children's fishing event yesterday. These are children of service members tied to the base. I took Aidyn fishing with her parents. We only had a little over two hours to put fish in the boat once we arrived at the one spot we fished as we were the last team paired. Managed a wiper over 19", 3-4 walleyes with biggest at 18 1/2, and some small bass. Was a good time. I knew there was a possibility to win biggest walleye as the slot is anything under 18" has to go back. Didn't keep any fish, but is tough getting a walleye over 18". We started using crawlers, leeches and snhiners. Figured out the walleye wanted crawlers which we all thought shouldve preferred leeches. She also has a nice skeet reese rod I won in the raffle for boat owners. Was also great meeting all the local fisherman and those that came all the way down from denver area also. I actually used my 10' Southern Crappie Rods as i knew the wakes would make it tough fishing due to the bost rocking. These rods have a more forgiving tip than my st croixs, loomis, etc.

Guy has not done anything for me as far as getting the paperwork done or anything so I'm in a holding pattern until he does.
I was hoping to be ready by Fall buy now I don't know when I will be.
But the dream is still there...lol
