    Default Bringing Nightstalking to Colorado

Decided my first night stalk as I found an area of Pueblo Reservoir where fish are canalized and a ton of bottom structure and where i caught some crappie walleye fishing. I really didn't know how the fishing would be, but after catching two limits of 20 crappie total I will say Colorado has some great Crappie fishing. This is another technique even the DNR inspection was surprised worked so well and had toshow them the lights as they didn't even know what i meant by crappie lights after being amazed I was ableto to catch a two person limit on this lake. All fish were between 12-14" which I think is good considering a shorter growing season. My friend and I also fished walleyes the evening before the night stalk and morning after, with a 2 1/2 hour nap in the boat. Finished with three keeper walleyes and caught well over 40 walleyes in total. One keeper was almost 24". The crappie were very aggessive and even brought in large bream that didn't try flee when we just reached down and picked it up out of the water. They are lucky we weren't bream fishing. I ordered some new lights that have a higher output and will be my go to technique for crappie.
