As the director of the EBCC, I hate to see anything happen to another circuit. But the truth is I have even considered not continueing. Our club only averages 10 boats and more often 8. It is depressing to put so much into the club with very little participation. I hope I can keep the EBCC afloat. It really means alot when the anglers step up to help in the smallest of ways. I know Russ, Jeff and Frank have done a great job over the years and must be ill over this but , Guys, I just want to thank you for everything over the years to promote Crappie Fishing at it's best.

I would like to see the tournaments spread out its hard for someone to take off work every other week Friday an Saturday spend 250$ each time for food gas place to stay.I think the turnouts would get better if you fish one lake a month I no everybody likes the spring fishing thing but its been proven the you can catch big fish all year an for god sakes put salt fork back on the list

Salt fork twice and buckeye twice and east fork 2 times that would be a good time, classic on the river at tanners.

It sounds to me that if one of you guys who likes to fish the circuit doesn't step up and take it over, you won't have to worry about what lakes are or aren't on the schedule.

Crappiemax is right. Right now, ain't no circuit.

Also, Eastfork only had 12 teams--lots of talkers, not many doers on East Fork. It would probably be dropped from the list. Deercreek was better, both in terms of particpation and size of fish. Salt Fork was a great lake, but not many people fished it as a regular tournament--no one was willing to travel that far and even in it's hey day only had 20 teams when the other lakes were averaging 30 plus. Buckeye has always been good in terms of both participation and fish quality.

i think you have done a great job in the time you have been part of the team...
like you i dont think you need to go to eastfork most of guys from BCC dont like it...
"classic on the river" ? would need to be east of Cinncinnati to be a in buckeye water...
"for pete sakes put salt fork back on the list" it is a good lake...
i hope you can make BCC work again it was a very good circuit... Good Luck Larry

Sorry Larry, I'm already out. I set some goals for 2013, but participation actually went down, so the changes weren't enough. I would have reconsidered if Rick had been able to step up or the Indian Lake tournament had been a success numbers wise, but it didn't work out. I got chewed out by two sponsors for the low turn-out at Indian. 11 out of 15 classic qualifiers didn't show up. Just don't need the headache for those kinds of numbers.

I think alot of folks like the idea of the circuit, but when push comes to shove and for lots of different reasons, they just don't or can't show up. They have families, money concerns, work constraints, whatever--the end result is the same.

Again, Not many know how much work it is to put these events together. The EBCC has never awarded more then $100 bonus during regular events. And I would love having 15 to 20 boats at an events. Our events Big Fish. As far as sponsors chewing ass, Never had that and not sure if that is politically correct. You offer the money, and there shouldn't be strings.

some basic things to keep in mind...

We all started out fishing tournaments for 1 reason, money. Bring the money back, and they will come...

The circuit did not start out amazing in 1 year, took a little time, same for reforming it, wont happen in a year.

all that said, i dont have the answers, but i do see the bottom line.
And its gonna suck having to fish at east fork all year long...might take up knitting
