I don't know about the rest of the Oklahoma boys, but I'm not sticking my hand in anything I can't see into. I've seen some of them old timers that noodled and their hands were all scarred and torn up. I think I'll just keep with the rod & reel fishing.

There's a group of us that do it around here. It's a blast.

Season starts up next weekend, matter of fact. I think the water is a bit cool for holes yet but we'll be out there anyway.

The mechanic's gloves like I'm wearing in the avatar makes it a whole lot easier on your hands.

I would not be afraid of the fish but the thought of a turtle or snake,now that's what would have me nervous.I have been a hole blocker but cant seem to stick my hand in there.They laughed hard at me but I still got 10 finger's lol.

I've got an ex brother-in-law that does it all the time. I have no desire to try it. To me, it's like asking to be a Darwin Award recipient. You know how nothing good comes after someone says....."Hey Ya'll, Watch This!".

Give enough beer to a redneck and they will try any thing lol! But not this one. Its fun to watch.

No can do in Texas...game wardens kinda look down on that sort of fishing method...bout as bad as snagging.

Grubby, I agree it can be pretty fun to watch. There's a documentary out there called OKIE NOODLING, don't know that it paints an accurate picture of the average Oklahoman, but it's got some hard-core noodlers in it.
