My favorite bait would be shrimp. You won't get the giants on it, but the 1-12 pounders like it.
Hot dogs would be #2.
I do a lot of catfishing in resovoirs, big rivers, little rivers and ponds alike. Just wondering what others like to use for bait. I prefer live bait caught in cast nets close to where I fish. The bigger the better. There are a million other baits I've tried and been succesful with. I just would like to hear what others have maybe tried and had success with. (or maybe not)

In The Spring I Like To Use Shad Caught In My Nets. When The Water Warms Up To About 70+ We Like To Use Sonnys Dip Bait, And Worm( Carolina Rig). We Catch Mostly Channels 1 To 6 Lbs

Chunks of soap?? I always use Catalpa worms when I can find em.
try it it works cut up small pieces of soap put it on your hook and catch dinner lol
yes it sounds weird but think about it so does chicken liver but it works and i have found it does not have to stink in any way to catch channels but it helps because they can taste with their whole body all you need is odor for one to find it
