I do fine with just plain ol' hot dogs.
I'm doing a test for bait. I cut up hot dogs and put them in 3 separate bags. 1 is garlic powder, 1 is strawberry jello, 1 is garlic and jello. I plan to fish them in the same spot with the same rod and see if any work better than others.

Try running an overnight line test and see what gets best results, winner 3 out of 5 nights would be the choice.

They will all work.
I'm going tomorrow to test them out. I'm sure eventually they will all catch a fish, just interested to see if one gets the job done faster.

I do good with hotdogs soaked in cherry kool aide with garlic.I also do good using raw shrimp with garlic.
Let us know the results. Raw shrimp (salted to stay on the hook better) gets my vote most days

Well I planned to test it tomorrow but things came up and it doesn't loom like I'll be able to hit the water. Which sucks because I was going to keep the cats I caught because it's free food and me and my wife both lost our jobs. So I sacrificed hot dogs to try and catch catfish but it will have to wait.

Really funny some of the stuff people do to pursue their chosen recreation. Trying different kind's of catfish bait. I do the same stuff. Going today and taking chicken breast soaked in kool aide and garlic powder, I'm into natural bait! Also taking along chicken liver mixed with sardines and garlic! Seem's like we put garlic in everything. Shoot, I even bought some of that stuff to put on your bait or lure that is called garlic! I wonder if I could simply take pieces of garlic and use them? Anybody tried worms since they reached puberty?
Tomorrow is when I'm finally going to get to test them. I've heard of using kool aid too but heard the gelatin in jello is made from animal fat, which leeches out into the water. Maybe a mental thing. Who knows Haha.
