I was in the Bi Mart today looking at hook's and saw some I remembered from years ago. A relative that was crazy for salmon fishing used them to fish with egg sac's. Between the eye and where the bend start's is a little sharp nub that sticks up. He used to tie his own and he used a snell knot but it was tied on below the nub. Pulled tight it would not come over the nub and there was a loop between it and the eye. He would push some line through the eye to get a bigger loop and stuff some egg sack in it. Then drop it and the loop tighten up holding the egg sack. Wonder if that might work with chicken liver?
