    Default Webbers Falls.

we caught several cats this weekend. this is my uncle Jesse holding up one load of them.

Here are a few more that we caught. we ended up with about 30lbs of fillet this weekend. my cousin Jason Wallis caught several of them too but didn't get pics of all we caught. To late to take pics before the fillet knife got to them lol. we did fry some up at the camp just to make sure they were edible.

Grubby just curious what was you using for bait? and man what a mess of catfish been thinking about them as well as crappie. I assume Ark. river? Usually fish river below L/D 13 Lavaca area.

like Jason said we use shad if we can find them but this trip we broke down and bought some 3 to 4 inch shinners because the shad were hard to locate becuase the river was flowing a lot faster than normal. so we had to do something else outside the norm. it was a blast they were hitting pretty good.

well we went back to Webbers Falls this weekend but the river is still flowing pretty fast and is above normal levels. the shad we did catch were larger than we normally will use. The bite was real slow just a few fish caught this weekend. but we were not fishing very hard just relaxing and taking it easy.

stopped by the river this weekend and the river was way up out of its banks and almost in the camp grounds. the paved road was the only thing holding it back. going to be a while before its back to normal now.
