I remember years ago being shown how to insert a smelled hook partially through a night crawler with a homemade tool( wire with a notch filed in one end.) If I remember correctly, the small hook would be hidden inside the crawler with the only the tag end of the mono sticking out one end of the worm.
The crawler would then be inflated in order to float it off the bottom.Im not sure but it seems the hook should be inserted into the front/ head, and pushed partially through, leaving the loop of the mono sticking out the head in order to tie to.
I am also a bit stumped on whether I can still inflate if I halve a crawler in order to offer a smaller portion.I know this might be confusing, any info will be appreciated.
