Since my boat is still in storage I am hoping some avid Kaw fisherman can point me to a good spot where I can pole fish from the bank and catch a couple. I was thinking about trying north of coon creek right where the river dumps into the lake or over by Alec and Little Beaver creeks. That's some shallow water in both those areas and I'm thinking the water may be too cold still for the blues to be cruising those areas. Should I be focusing down south in the deeper parts of the lake? Any specific areas?
I really don't know this winter fishing stuff and it has been many years since I have had to fish from the bank. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
