I would check out In-Fisherman's annual catfish guide, if it's still on newsstands.
Not looking to take over what anyone has started or what ever but looking for some new ways to catch cat fish and the techniques you use to do so with.

I will pass on what a commercial fisherman told me several years ago . Their are a lot of baits that will catch a few cat fish but they are a few baits that will catch lots of cat fish! It’s hard to beat fresh shad cut or whole! Yaw probably don’t have them down that way but fiddle worms works great also. Sent you a pm Welcome to c.c
I watch dieter melhorn on YouTube because he fishes a local lake. I agree YouTube is a good source of different techniques. I’ve seen him run planer boards for catfish as an example.

Well, what methods to you know?
My go to bait is Bacon soaked in garlic overnight.
Hard to cast it but works best for me jug fishing

I've been kicking around a couples idea for a fishing adventure documentary. One method that I've researched was using soft plastics for catfish. I hope to mount an expedition and really explore that idea this season. (I use the word expedition lightly, really just a journey with a goal in mind.)
One technique I’m gonna try this year is the Santee cooper rig. I’ve done a lot of cat fishing but never tried this set up. Check it out on YouTube
