Tim - Those are some nice fish, I am curious about the shrimp too. A retired ODWC fisheries staff member has always said that a blue cat goes to bed at night with a shad for a snack. In the morning, he has a shad for breakfast........... you get the point. I have used garlic impregnated hotdogs on jug lines with good success when shad were not available. This is why I am interested in the corn meal coating of the shad. I just have to take some time to harvest some shad and try the corn meal/ freezing method. I can use them drifting a couple of lakes that I dont have to hassle with netting shad before I begin to drift. My drifting in the past has been with large chunks of congealed beef blood. This worked well. I will give you a call in a day or so.
