Well, I tried it today. Caught one 8" cat....nothing else. Not overly impressed and am wondering if the video was just a joke...

Not a joke. I use this bait a lot. This and live perch is all I use. Try it again.

That guy on the video said 1/4 '' and made 5 cuts. 6 x 1/4'' would only be 1 and 1/2 '' hot dogs. I've heard about using hotdogs but guess Channel Catfish would hit them as they will eat almost anything. Sounds like cheap bait if it works good. I've seen guys bait trotlines with dog food out of a bag too.

Ok, I will stand corrected. Today I used my original batch I made about two weeks ago. It has been sitting outside since Tuesday, and today I gave it a half hearted try on 2 noodles. I had one on both noodles, got one in the boat, a 20"er. The other broke the line...so hopefully ill catch him another day.
