We have mostly Channels here on the lake but catch a Blue from time to time.

If it works as good as corn, would it work as good as wheat? I'm looking for a less expensive chum for my holes.

Just ordered a ton of cleaned white rice. Never used it before but it was so cheap I could not pass up then deal. Have a ton on the way. Plan to soak in water for a few days then start baiting holes. I have not been able to find more rice but looking. I scatter cooked soured grain directly in the water. Had some left from last year. Yesterday was first paid Catfish guide trip this summer.

The places you bait -- Is it on old Channel Edges or on flats close to deeper water. the U Tube stuff I have been watching is 40 to 50 foot holes
