How big a fish you fishing for? I like 2/0-4/0 circle hooks for fish up to about 10 pounds. If fishing for larger just go up a size or two. I use a 1/4 to 3/8 oz. Just enough to get bait down and keep it from floating up if wind is blowing noodle along. 8-12 in noodle.

I agree with the 4/0 circles. Seems to work the best for me. Will catch anything.

I promise, when you get into them and have 5 or 6 running in different directions at the same time you will be hooked. I'm not a big Cat fisherman but go with neighbor sometimes. When it's on it will wear you out chasing them noodles around. Also a great way to entertain a couple of kids and ger some fish to boot. Good luck.

I use 5/0 circle hooks and have no complaints about the size of fish they catch. Big or little makes no difference. Very enjoyable with the grand kids.

If you can find them use the noodles that are 3 1/2 to 4 inches in diameter. You will get a better hookset that way.

I use 6/0 eagle claw stainless steel hooks and use old cast net weights. I catch fish from half a pound on into the 30's and 40's.
