retired and now i will always fish
Raw shrimp works great for channels. Sometimes I will take a tub of chicken livers and soak the shrimp in the blood in the container, seems to always put a few in my boat.
I have been catching fish lately on hotdogs marinated in garlic. I use the minced kind you buy at the store.
Been catching on stink bait. but dont know about baiting jugs
Live bream or green sunfish. Shrimp or chicken livers works well to
I bought a couple packs of shrimp to use as bait.............but ended up eating them with some tatorsRofl

Curious why I didn't see Shad mentioned anywhere here. I throw a cast net early in the AM or late at night when its dark around some lights and you can get hundreds in 2 or 3 casts. We slaughter the blues on live and dead shad. sometimes whole, sometimes cut.
I do use shad late summer early fall. They seem to be more plentiful then and larger at those times of the year where i fish. And they are a great bait.
