dang nice kitty!!! congrats.
My in-laws live on a little residential lake in Sherwood, AR. The average depth of the lake is around 7 feet, but we've pulled some nice cats out of it on trotlines and noodles. It's not uncommon for us to pull out, 8-15 pounders. However, we have also caught a 19 and 20 pound fish, with the 20 pounder being our personal best out of this lake...at least, until this morning.
We were picking up the line after last nights runs and we got a few fish off of it. The first one looked smaller, we thought 6 pounds, but it ended up being close to 9 pounds.
On down the line a little bit was a HUGE FISH! My Father-in-Law couldn't say anything, but, "get the net, get the net, get the net." Come to find out this sucker smoked our previous lake best.
32 pounds and 14 ounces.
We were using trotline minnows and fishing in about 5 feet of water just under the surface with our drops sitting 1 foot to 1 1/2 feet down in the water. This is the earliest we've ever put out lines for cats. We usually do decent whether it's hot or cold, but this guy was a pleasant surprise!

Nice cats... Do you ever fish the lake with rod and reel? That fish would have been a blast to fight to the boat...
