    Default Spawning fish

How do you guys target channels in a lake or res. when they are spawning? I've got a couple lakes I fish in the summer through early fall, that are loaded with catfish, and I know plenty of spots to catch them when they are deep, but can't find them now. I always fish on the bottom, or drift channels and ledges, but that is not getting any action right now. Should I get a float and look up close, like I would gills or crappie? I can go to the river when they are spawning a wear them out, but can't seem to figure out the lakes.

Try fishing shallow flats, rocks and sand areas.

I try rocks and around bridges. Anywhere they can hide and lay some eggs
