    Default Ian Chillcott

Watched a program yesterday on WFN called Chilly Carp featuring British carp fisherman Ian Chillcott. He was using bags of pink maggots attached to this baited hook to draw in winter carp. The bag dissolves within a minute or two releasing the loose maggots. The bags are made from PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) - the same stuff dissolvable laundry tabs and septic treatments come in. I'm thinking this could be a better way to package roe for catfishing than the fine net I use now. Any idea on where to get it without spending an arm and a leg? He caught a 25 pound mirror carp that was bigger around than she was long in the dead of winter using this method.

Thanks. I'll look them up. Always looking for something different to try.
