we, some of us are here, but haven't figured out how to catch the elusive crappie/whiteperch/sac-au-lait over here in NorCal. Would love a lesson.
I'm in Napa, close to Berryessa and Hennessey, could get to clear lake.

Wish I could be there to help out. Caught hundreds of crappie out of Hennessey fishing with my Dad. Unfortunately the was 45 years or more years ago. It was a beautiful lake in beautiful country.

We fished only in the spawn, from the bank along the lower end where it narrows. The technique was a fle-fly 1/16th jig suspended about two feet under a bobber reeled very slowly. The best color was white head, pink body, white tail.

Get to Clear Lake! See my post from yesterday. They are on fire this year. I caught so many I lost count. Ended up keeping 27 above 1.5, gave away some males over 12" to others around and released a ton. Either they have already spawned or have not started. Most were in 8-10 feet of water, all on jigs with PowerBait Crappie Nibbles. The magic color for me was a pink / chartreuse mini-fluke. I was double rigged on 2lb mono, Loomis ultralight. I cought doubles twice!
