    Default Lake Castaic

Anyone done any crappie fishing/camping at Castaic? Was going to give it a try in late April. New to this whole targeting crappie thing so any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I'll have to check it out. There enough water down there to put a canoe in? Up here in the northern part of the state they're closing down a lot of the boating of any kind.

[QUOTE=danwalleye;2633343]night fishing docks is good every where put some lights out[/Q tried it,didn't work, some years in harsh conditions crappies will absorb their eggs and not spawn,,the lagoon is tuff, they caught a 22lb striper,at the float tube derby, stripers and crappie don't get along,I'm not giving up ,,

Man, the water here is incredibly low, getting skunked so far, we'll see how much longer I can talk the Gf into staying out fishing.
