    Default Lake Perris Crappie ?

    Need a little advice ,

My Situation : I Float Tube 24-7 , In the Process of replacing a Fish Finder to help me locate better holding structure !
Locations : Eastend , Bernasconi , Sailcove (I hear everyone say huge Crappie are in the marina , but I am not going to pay to fish in the crappie house) and I cannot tube the marina , I have Gps locations saved where known crappie hang out

My problems lies with getting the bigger paper mouths to bite lol . I have used numerous colors in jigs and weight size (1/32 & 1/16) what is one color and Weight I should really focus on ? I have tried matching the shad , even bright greens and yellows .. Should I try a 1/80oz in my jigs even slower fall rate ?

I would appreciate any help getting me pointed in the right direction ... Thanks WES

I would focus on the 1/32 to 1/16 sizes, try blade baits. I was there in May to fish redear and gills and actually caught more crappie up to 16 inches using Boolie jigs which is a jig with a small propeller behind the head. We had a few 50+ days fishing those baits while I was there. Beautiful black crappie, fish like those are few and far between here in Missouri.
