C.M. : Oh, So you got some new toys for thoses spring time slabs huh?
Yea it would be nice if we had more rain up here too. then all those trees that fell over do to heavy rain last year back under water. But if we don't we can probally go all year on what we got last year before we start talking about drought like conditions that would affect fishing. we will see....
Thankfull : Yea.... there are not that many of us on here to post.
We need to get the word out that we are here so others can join. We need more California Crappie info.
Team Mc Fishing
Hello big minnow I am new to the site. I fish the delta arond the Stockton area. It is slow right now I am waiting for the water tempature to warm. When that happens the fishing will pick up and I will land some nice slabs !
Watching the reports from Isabella closely.
Crappie are showing in the marina area, fish to 2.5 lbs.
Still a couple weeks away from them moving into the trees and cages in the east arm.
I can hardly wait.
thnx for the report up at
the lake,,, things have
already popped down here,,

Welcome from the bayarea Crappie hunter....ahhhh the delta. i caught my first two pounder up in lodi on a slip bobber & minnow. I fished the Tracy area back in the early 90's as well. When i started out (my first two years) I only had one spot. It was great fishing good.... numbers & size, guaranteed. Bass, bluegill & crappie. Then mother nature taught me a valuable lesson about only relying on one fishing spot back then. "water hyacinth" . Now most of the spots i use to fish back then are now posted "private property."
Cm:Things here had warmed up but the cold fronts are reeking havoc on these fish. Their backing off and are tight lipped. But we got our water we needed!
T Mc: where are you from? N. or S.
I am originally from Oakland but I am in Management and moved to Stockton 15 years ago. I live out North now. I am going out this morning to see if any Slabs are showing. Its pretty cool most of my spots are within 15 minutes of the house. I am planning to fish Black Bute lake soon I have heard it is the best Crappie lake in Cali. Your thoughts?
