High guys. I need a little help. I just purchased a Bass Tracker 17. I have Minn kota terrova on my pan fish special. I never have liked the spot lock function cause it spooks fish. I want to put an electric anchor own the new boat. Minn kota cost $300 with out a remote. That's a bit too much. In my research I found a Futchoy electric anchor with the remote 25# for $129 and a45# for $149. And theya are salt water too. That's exactly what I need. Are they any good?
Has anyone had any experience with these?
A problematic winch Is a Very annoying nuisance when fishing.
I do appreciate any feedback you guys can give.
Thanks

I have seen the Minn Kota in action on the river, it did work on a guide drift boat. Like you, the price was a bit much. I purchased a Camco it broke while testing it before installed so returned. I will be watching this thread as I would love to have one. Fishing the river drains the spotlock under constant load for me.
I too have seen the MK in action. They are pricey though but worth the money. I used to use mushroom anchors but they became too much to retrieve.

Usually you get what you pay for. There are exceptions to that. My opinion would be to save up a little more money and get the best you can afford that has an easy to access warranty and a solid reputation.
Ask yourself.... what's having some piece of mind worth? It sucks to be on the water and your boat accessories let you down!

I have 2 trak made by camco electric anchors on my boat now for about 3 years. Rated 40 pound in front and a 25 in back, both with remote. Have not had any trouble with either one, sure makes it a lot easier to anchor especially that pulling up part! Wish I would have put em on years ago. Very easy to mount and wire, I did it myself, and if I can do it, anybody can!

I got a good deal on Superstick shallow water anchor pin kit.
I fish mostly shallow water.
In deeper water spot lock works great. But not in shallow water.
Thanks for help guys. It makes a big difference.
