Thread: '87 Skeeter Strada F120 Rehabilitation

What I started with -





It had vines growing out of it . It sat, uncovered, for 17 years.
A good friend got it home , via a rollback truck. He got a gift card to Bass pro!
Cleaned it out. Still had rods in the rod box, lures in a box, old life jackets, oil in the oil reservoir, fuel in the fuel tank.
Made an engine stand. Borrowed a cherry picker from same friend. Removed the engine, squirted some lube in the cylinders, turned it over by hand, and it turned! Fresh fuel, Turned the key, it fired!
Three new carb kits, fuel pump kit, lubed the starter, water jacket gasket, impeller/fluid, new spark plugs, replaced every fuel line. Some other parts also. Cleaned out the mud dobber nests from inside the mid section, and lots of other places!
Put it back together, sounded alot better.
Made a "shelf" for the top cap. This way I can still park utility trailer under it.



Cleaned up inside the hull.





Removed the trash, foam, stringers (what was left of them). The transom wood I removed with a shop vac. Cut out the inner skin of the transom . At this point of the project, I lost interest.
Prior to starting this project, I picked up a part time job.
