    Default Just a small part

Since I have a hard time bending to pick things up off of the floor I look for ways to make the things I use every trip more accessible, and I know I'm not alone. In the pic is the Hi-Tek rod holder that pretty much never comes out of the front deck. On the other side you'll notice part of the retractable clippers that I use every trip. This was a piece of scrap off of the transducer mount that is in another post, and with a little time in a vise and a plastic hammer and a couple of pop rivets you see the result. Anything would work for material, I just didn't go to any great length. Food for thought, have fun.....Skeet.

Not too shabby for a JB Hunt driver. Nice work.

An unintended plus is that I carry two pairs of those forceps, one for the front and one for the back of the boat. it's easy to tell at a glance whether I'm ready or I've lost a pair and need to dig out a replacement. I'd like it better if it was welded but that's just my OCD talking.
