    Yes this was diy. Thank you for the compliment.
    Went with vinyl as that was already on the boat. Extension Decking is 3/4" advantech with a coat of polyurethane, wanted to go all aluminum, had to weigh that against $$ for other improvements. In hindsight, I should have waited, and saved my pennies. Oh well.
    Framing is aluminum angle, riveted together with aluminum rivets. The lids are aluminum, they where bought and formed at a local metal shop. The framing was also bought their. His prices where a no brainer. The lids wound up being about $160, total.
    Other things done:
    * LED strip lights put in the storage boxes, rod locker holds 8' rods, rod locker lid opens in ~ so i dont throw a rod out!
    * Trim/tilt switch on bow
    * Had a 40# troll motor 12volt, replaced with a 75# 24 volt
    * Cut in a recessed tray for the troll motor
    * Glued down a cushioned mat on the bow
    * locking hasps on the compartments
    Take your time, do a lot of research, I spent as much or more time online than actually working. Alot of ideas from tinboats.net. Next up is to make up a "buddy" rod holder to mount on the headwall of the rodlocker. Saw where some people used a plastic cutting board. Would also like to make a double seat mount and spider rig set up, for when i crappie fish, and when dad is along.
    Nothing better then throwing the cast net, baiting jugs, then bass\crappie fishing!

    About 1/2 hour east of St. Louis. My wife would kill me if I did another one! The part I hated was gluing the vinyl down.
