Evening, all.
I'm looking for someone near Lake Livingston who can help me figure out this dadgum fish finder. I have the Garmin Echomap UHD 72sv that came with my new Seadoo Explorer Pro jetski. Yeah, I fish off of my jet ski.
I've never had a fish finder so I'm lost other than turning it on. Not sure the settings are correct - I do see stuff, but haven't a clue what the heck I'm seeing.
If any fellas out on Lake Livingston that can give me some pointers I'd be much obliged.
Crosby

Setting the fishfinder close to the helm allows you to monitor the screen as you steer the boat. Look for signs of fish on the display. Fish will usually appear as arches or lines.
This depth finder has GPS and navigation, making it ideal for deep-water fishing. So installing a fishfinder will give you a chance of a hefty catch.
Two things in your favor using Garmin.
1. The are many people consider them more intuitive and easy to learn then the other manufacturers in the market.
2. The defaults settings are pretty good for most cases right out of the box.
As you get comfortable with it, you will eventually tweak some settings. However, you can learn it pretty quickly.
