#1 color for me is pink . Hands down .
Looking to add some more jig heads to my crappie box but before ordering wanted to see what you all recommend as far as color? I’ve noticed a lot of different choices with blue, orange, white, red, chartreuse etc… I’ve mainly fished with chartreuse or no paint. Wanted to see if any of you have a go to color or does it vary due to water clarity? Thanks for any info on this topic.

Jig heads for plastics? If i use 100 jigs this year, 98 will be unpainted. Plastic is what they are looking at
Jig head with minners are different, i like pink or chartreuse in dirty water and white with red eye in clearer water.
Chartreuse is my go to.

Pink, white, chartreuse yellow and green. I made up some gold and some chrome heads but haven’t had enough time to see if they work well.
Maybe they will bite this one……TBass89 LIKED above post
I also think it may matter more in clear water. Shooting docks I am slinging a jig into the shadows of the dock in some pretty muddy water around here. Likewise when trolling those fish get a glimpse. They either decide to pursue or not. That is not to say color does not play a role. Only to say that some techniques it would seem to play more of a role than others. Sniping with Livescope comes to mind where the jig is held on the fishes nose until it bites.
Thanks seems like you can check all the boxes but doesn’t mean they wont be stubborn that day. Gonna be adding a fish finder very soon take out with me just to help with reading depth, temp and what’s going on beneath me as far as possible structure and fish. Then just allow patience for dialing in the presentation they seek. Thanks again dockshootin jack.

Confidence is the best color, that being said there are times that color makes all the difference.
