I absolutely love trying new things and changing colors & body styles during a day's fishing. Especially if one color is knocking their socks off - that's the best time try something new - to see if in fact it's that color/style, or if it's just that they are "on the bite" and will hit anything.
We also move a lot with side pulling style of trolling over the main basins. In our waters up here, it's rare to have a school hold in one spot for very long. With little in the way of structure or breaks on structure, these fish move all over the main basins chasing baitfish. Pretty difficult to pinpoint one spot over any other (and we've tried!). So this presentation works for us.
