Yup on all of the above. Fish the marabou under a float can be deadly. I add a small safety pin spinner to my jig when I use them with plastic tails. Adds a bit of flash and thump. Also there are a number of folks who tie hair and feather jigs here. Myself included. Check them out in the jig tieing forum.

when i fish the cypress knee swamps of N FL. i use a rod with float and shiner and another rod with a jig and twister tail. pitch the jig up in and around the knees until you find some fish, then work them over with both tactics. i sure do miss the moss in the trees! been too long away. god i miss the Apalachicola river. (think ill take a visit on google earth and catch some memories)
