Default Rod and Bobb's Slip-Bobber Stop Issues

Do any of you have issues using these? I tied it tight and for some reason it slips and won't stay in place and then some times, it won't even go through the eye of the pole.

    And tips?

I normally fish with 6lb Mr. Crappie mono. I tie my own slip knots with a cheap spool of eagle claw 8 pound mono. I tie 3 overhand knots with a piece of 8lb and pull as tight as I can get without damaging the 6lb line. It works very well and if you clip it short it will pass through the reel and guides with no problem. Have been doing it that way for 25 years. The knots do wear out after awhile but just add a new one with the 8lb line you have. In a pinch I will pick up whatever line is laying in the boat at the time and use it. Try it and see how you like it. Hope this helps.

I tried them all and liked this one the best.... make sure your line is wet before sliding it on the line....

If Mamba's problem is that he cannot get a string stop knot to go thru his tip eye ... I doubt any of the rubber or plastic versions will fix his problem. He may have to use a different rod (one with larger guides & tip eye).

I see cheap generic stops on Ebay in bulk of all kinds . Even ordered some but not tried then yet . I am strictly a verticle jigger most of the time .

trying to get into bobbers for deeper presentations as I am normally a tight liner since all the guys who catch big crappie year round all use bobbers.

    This one don't .
