Any Walmart will have combo kits with jig heads and a variety of different body colors. You can usually choose from tube style packs or grub style packs. They have them for around 10 bucks.
Another option is to ask around in the forum thread for your state and find what colors/styles work in your area and spend the $10 on those particular baits instead. That way you won't have a pack with colors you might never use.
and enjoy the site. Anywhere you look, Mr. Crappie is always a good crappie bait to start with. They will catch crappies. Ordering the custom jigs from
members on this site is ALWAYS a good choice too.

If you just want to try to catch a few without spending lots of money, a package of #2 gold hooks, a package of small split shot a couple floats and a dozen minnows will get you by. This will let you know if you want to "invest" more money.

Contact MEATGETTER on here for great hand tied jigs. Most tube baits are good , I use Southern Pro. Bob's jigs makes some good ones too and he is a vendor on here.
