Default my new hooks for $2.40 a pack

I just got my new hooks in from Float It Tackle. They have VMC Wide Gap Worm hooks now for $2.40 a pack. That is a low price for a thick hook. I think VMC is what Mike L. uses on BASS. I took a picture of my new hooks. I like to try them out maybe this weekend. I am still waiting for their trick worm but I guess it takes time to get a lure right. http://www.floatworm.weebly.com/hooks.html

Any update on those VMC hooks? I haven't bought anything but Trokar in so long I forgot other companies even make hooks. I lucked out and found a sale on Trokar flipping, and the wide gap plastics hooks. Think I got 5 packs of each hooks for about $3 a pack, so that's what $30 for 50 hooks? While I have used other brands in the past, I think the Trokar brans are the sharpest on the market.

Here are couple bass i got at the end of that month. I like there hooks. They have a nice wide bend to them and they Do NOT Cost $$$$$... LOL They are priced on the low end. The point of the hook is a short point so it dosn't take to much power to set the hook on the fishs mouth, The bard is also close to the hook point so that also sticks in fast. I used many hooks and some have to much of a long point and the bard never sticks into the fishs mouth.
The eye of the hook is small also so it slides inside the top of the plastic very nice. I love the black finshed color so the fish doesn't see the hook along the bait before it hits it.
With all hooks I used, I always like to bend the hook bend out a litttle to get a better hookup/ bite when I set the hook. Like I said the hook point is short and that also helps so the point stays in the plastic better when you skin hook the plastic. Some hook points come out of the plastic on the first cast and the frist weed or tree it hits, the hook sticks to it...LOL. So I like this hook and the price.
I am 45 years old and before those big hooks ever came out we all got fish on the Reg. hooks on the market. Soon they will be selling 8 or 9 o hooks for fishing plastic baits. Then I will say to myself, I am fishing for bass not sharks...LOL LOL. The hooks keep getting bigger for LM bassfishing...LOL
