Thread: Ole Yellow getting some work

Finally aroundtuit. Pulled carb off Saturday morning and put in the high flow, larger diameter needle and seat, and ethanol rated accelerator pump plunger that I bought about a year ago. Was a little worried I’d tear a gasket since its been a long time since I was in there and didn’t have a replacement. But was running the bowl empty pretty quick under wide open throttle. Made a loop to town and back, made several pulls wot in high gear. Pulls strong past 120 or so without a bobble, yay. But also realizing my nerves ain’t what they used to be
Starts getting a little floaty past 100 and I was plenty ready to back out of it.

I got a chuckle out of that comment. Gotta wonder how much is nerves vs getting a little wiser with age?
