I figure you can further decrease that range while trying to air condition the cabin when it is 90 plus degrees outside
I figured this would be pertinent to us fisher people who tow boats. I'm glad I'm old enough I'll probably never have an electric truck or vehicle.

Still a long way off from effectiveness and efficiency. I love my Gas powered Tundra!

Electric vehicles are simply another Failed theory by the enviro whacko's that DO NOT work or are practical at this time. My cabin is on a power plant lake and have made friends with exec from there and he LOL's at the thought of the Grid crashing the very first time only like 10% of cars plug in for the night. absolutely can't handle that load or anywhere near it. saw a video of a guy towing a trailer with a EV truck and it didn't last an hour. says we will STILL be dependent on fossil fuels for next 50 years and when these morons shut them down the blackouts will be scary awful. they did this already with NG, coal and nuclear in californistan and the brownouts and shutdowns have actually killed folks and it's awful.
None of these .........idiots...... care one whit about the average american or what will work. Hybrid technology has been around for years and WORKS NOW. THAT is the answer to reducing emissions in a practical matter today but these idiots don't have even one clue nor do they care. Our son bought a prius 12 years ago in californi..... and it has run great with using so little gas it's crazy and I love to drive it when we go to see them every year. Plus it has more room than you can imagine and we go 80 to 90 on those crazy freeways which is normal speed with zero problems. Plus it's cool to watch the fuel indicator and most of the time your running on electric power.
Chevy was coming out with a hybrid truck my buddy bymo had his eye on that was getting insane gas mileage and electric was used primarily with excellent range and towing power but then they just cancelled the whole program. these idiots have no idea of the pain they will be causing the country and WE are THE least emitting major power in the world. it's crazy. china and South Asia are going stronger INTO coal and fossil fuels without any regard to the pollution they are causing and is why all these ........ idiots are so out of touch with reality. Look at sky maps from satellites and you will see where it all comes from and it's not here from cars or cows farting.

The Tundras have a 3.5 dual turbo V6 that is hybrid. Supposed to be a performer. We have the 3.5 engine here at the plant. Dual water cooled turbos on it. Very well built engine from what you can see from the display

Aren't the Tacomas going that route in 2023? I saw my first new Tundra with the new smaller engine last week. I'm not sold on those smaller engines with turbos yet in terms of longevity. At least they are liquid cooled (according to your post) and not air cooled. Honda went that route before they redesigned their turbo to liquid cooled. The Tundras have a 3.5 dual turbo V6 that is hybrid. Supposed to be a performer. We have the 3.5 engine here at the plant. I have an 2018 Tacoma with the 3.5. I didn't want to pay for the gas with the 5.7 Tundra so I'm keeping an eye on how the redesigned trucks are doing.
Not sure about the Tacomas. I have a 2017 with the 3.5... It replaced my 2012 Tacoma with the 4.0. Ford has been running a 3.5 litter twin turbo for quite a few years now

I recently read about a guy who rented an electric vehicle for a 400 mile one way trip in New York state. He could not find such a rental for one way, so He had to rent it for round trip. The rental place told Him to enter the destination in the vehicle, and just follow the suggested route. The thing took Him in all kinds of crazy directions so they could charge along the way and find the suggested charging stations. The rental rate was much more compared to a gas car, the expense was much greater, and the overall time was insane.
Nah, just nah.

I was only talking about electric vehicles.
