Ive never changed brake fluid on any of our vehicals unless something broke and leaked out some...Last pickup had 285,000 current one has 150,000 wife has ran 3 cars into the 225 thousand range never had any issues.
Alright guys, I could use some advice. The owners manual recommends doing a brake fluid flush at 5 yrs. As I understand it, you have to activate the ABS module using a scan tool in order to get all the fluid out. So has anyone done theirs?
Thanks in advance,
ArtyB

I have done it on my 2013 twice. Fluid that comes out is nasty.
Yes I do use a scan tool.
Brand is Autel, will have to look at it for the model
I use a turkey baster to suck out brake fluid from the master cylinder every year.

I’ve seen where guys have done that. Makes sense and I actually bought one of those for that purpose.
Thanks for the feedback
