I've got the Leer hard shell. More expensive but feel safer with the hard back. Everything stays dry and secure.

I have a tri-fold and love it. Add the seal around the tailgate to eliminate the bulk of the dust.

I have a one piece hard top on my short bed crew cab, I’ve had it several years, keeps everything dry, only fault I can think of, if you fish alone, when launching your boat, you can’t climb in the back of your truck and over the side to keep from getting your feet wet, I keep a pair of knee high boots in my truck for wading from trailer back to driver side of truck.

Child of God - would either a tongue extender or hitch extender keep you from having to where waders? When you launch or load the boat.
