    Default conservation dept measuring tape

Got a yellow conservation measuring sticker. Is there a reason it don't measure correctly. I thought it might have shrunk so I grabbed a brand new, and it was short as well. This could be a problem. Name: IMAG1046.jpg

The white tape I bought at bass pro. It measures correct.

Saw a post sometime back about someone getting check with short fish that used that tape and was let slide when they showed the agent what they used to measure cuase they know its wrong. Can't remember details for sure though

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

If the Conservation Officer is using this tape that kinda gives the fisherman the benefit of the doubt, doesnt it?

If you're using this tape and they are using a Golden Rule that could make for an interesting conversation.

I'll stick with the Min Length + 1/2" to play it safe no matter what.

More ways for MO to make money! They need more because 1/8th cent per dollar isn't enough!

I'll use my tape and that way I'll be safe by enough. Why would they use a short tape?
The fishing was so good I thought it was yesterday

LOL....haven't you ever noticed how the fish hanging from your hook looks so big until later when you take it out of the livewell and it looks like a dink? This way, even if the fish shrinks while it's still in the livewell, it will still be legal!

Probably just the vendor they buy from has poor quality control.....these are free, right?

I had a company bass tournament today. That's the only reason I got the tape out. I don't measure crappie....hehe

Not really. They are short, meaning even a fish measuring a few mm's short of 9' on my tape would be legal on theirs.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
