Something like Hello Officer just want to let you know that I have a loaded/unloaded pistol/rifle/shotgun and where it is located. Dont reach for it just let them know where it is. Just lets us know you care about our safety like we care about yours. Im sure you wouldnt hurt their feeling by not saying Hi and blurting out "I got a gun!" instead. At least they will know about it. Our feelings are not easily hurt dealing with some of the people we do on an everyday basis. It nice when someone actually acts like they care we try to do our jobs instead of acting like we are wasting their time until, of course they actually need something.

You can carry it loaded in your vehicle if you want too in Missouri as long as your not a felon and can legally own a firearm. As for Oklahoma or Arkansas or any state you go through I don't know.

I used to fish the Missouri about two times a week. I always carry a pistol in the boat loaded when on the river. I did talk to the HiPo and Conservation and got the green light. Got checked four times I think when the pistol was laying on the seat or on the dash and never had a problem. I always told them first thing that I had a pistol in the boat. I always walked away from the gun before I told the officer it was on the boat. Like as they pulled up I would walk to the front of the boat and then point back to the back of the boat and say I had it with me...No problems ever. They really could seem to care less to be frank. I only had a problem one time, 2AM one morning I am pulled up on shore with my catfish lines all out a friend and I . We were down by Missouri City. I look out the back of the boat and can see a jon boat in the channel behind me in the river with no lights on. The guy is pointed into the current just holding position and sets there for about five minutes with no lights on, i can see two guys in the boat. All at once the boat turns at us and comes right at the back of my boat, runs over all three of my lines(100 pound braid that costs a fortune that is now scared up) and pulls right up besides me still no lights on. Now it ended up being a Conservation officer training a new officer but the training almost got real for all of us. The officer never did turn his lights on and did not identify themselves before they got off the boat less than 20 feet from us. The officer did tell us that they like to sneak up on people to check them so they dont run off. I did not tell him that they were less than twenty feet from two guys holding 9MM as we were trying to figure out what the hell they were doing. My point? Never had a problem carrring a gun on the boat and I had no CCW at that time. However be careful....errors happen and the cost can be high for everyone. Make sure you are defending your life if you put your hand on it and be ready to be judged by 12 shortly after. Be safe...

I have a .380 in a wallet holster and love it. In cooled months it goes in the hip pocket of my jeans. In warmer it goes in the cargo pocket of my shorts. Hope this helps sea ray

Rather be caught with it than without it. If it is concealed, then no should know it unless you really screw up!
